the arts territory exchange is a correspondence program and large scale collaborative project curated by Gudrun Filipska. aTE pairs up artists across the world And opens up a space within which to generate new ideas around artist travel cultures and our personal territories and topographies.

Taking place between artists and writers in vastly differing topographical locations ATE facilitates an exchange of materials which explore ideas of territory, locality and place.  ideas find new territories to inhabit through the postal system, the domestic spaces they arrive in, and in turn generate and take on new meaning through the collaborative process.

These exchanges may generate archives of collaborative work which can realise them selves as exhibitions, publications, talks, life long collaborations or ephemeral experiments.
